About

Evelyn Mount and her late husband moved to Reno, NV in 1976. She has been helping people in Reno and Sparks for over 35 years and shows no signs of slowing down. Evelyn’s journey as a servant began when she was a young girl growing up in a family of nine. She says: “This is my purpose in life that God has anointed me to be one of his servants to his people.”

She formed the Evelyn Mount Community Outreach program to provide food to needy individuals and families during the holidays. Since then the program has expanded to providing meals on a weekly basis to the not so fortunate.

The Outreach program is run with volunteer help out of her own home to keep the expenses to an absolute minimum.

The Community Outreach organization has attained 501 (C3) status as a non-profit operation so that all donations are deductible. When donations are received a volunteer will record the items received and complete a donation form.

The Community Outreach program operates every day of the year, but swings into high gear during the holiday seasons providing providing food for hundreds of Thanksgiving and Christmas meals.
